Events to calendar
Do4U finds the events in an announcement, a programme or a newsletter and turns them into a table, a calendar file (.ics) and Event markup (JSON-LD). Every date and time must stand in your text, and the code checks it before anything gets into the calendar. If your text names no year, Do4U uses the next matching date from today, or the year you choose, and tells you. Cancelled or postponed, online or on site, and repetitions are only added when your text says so. The files are created in your browser.
Who it is for
For clubs, venues, schools, shops and agencies who publish events and want visitors to add them to their calendar, and for web teams who need Event markup for the page.
Typical uses
- Turn a newsletter with several dates into one calendar file
- Give visitors an .ics file to add a concert, a workshop or a market day
- Create Event markup (JSON-LD) for an events page
- Check a programme: every date and time is marked as found or to be checked

Questions and answers
Can the AI invent a date or a time?
It can try, but the code does not let it through. Every event has to quote the passage of your text it was read from. The code checks that the passage exists, that the day, month, year and times stand in it, that month and weekday names fit the date, that the title is in your text, and that a link is one that your text contains. Events that fail do not get into the calendar; they appear in a separate list.
What happens if my text names no year?
Do4U uses the next matching date from today, or the year you enter, and marks the event with a note so you can check it. A date is never taken from a year that your text does not mention without telling you.
Which calendar apps and time zones work?
The .ics file follows the standard (RFC 5545) and includes the time zone, so it works in common calendar apps such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook. You choose the time zone, or the default is used. Titles, places and descriptions stay in the language of your text, in any language.
Is my text stored?
Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).
