Do4U crawls your website and checks every link. You enter the address of your start page. Do4U reads a limited number of pages of the same website, collects every link, image, script, stylesheet and file on them, and checks each target once. You get the broken targets, each with the pages and link texts that point to it, the reason (for example status 404 or a redirect loop), redirect chains, and pages that answer with OK but look like an error page. For each missing page Do4U suggests the most similar live page and shows the redirect rules for .htaccess, nginx or as CSV. No AI is used, and the check is free.

Privacy

Processed on our own servers in the EU (Poland). Inputs and results are deleted after 7 days (Free) or 30 days (packages), or right after you see the result if you choose not to store them. Images are deleted right after processing.

Tool name: broken_link_check. Create a job with POST /api/v1/jobs and fetch the result with GET /api/v1/jobs/{id}. You find your API key in your account.

Questions and answers

Does the broken link check use AI?

No. Do4U reads the pages and the code checks every link. The redirect suggestions come from the same code as the redirect plan. The check is free; there is a daily limit of checks per account.

How many pages are checked?

Do4U reads a limited number of pages of the same website in a limited time, at most one request per second, and respects robots.txt. Links to further pages are still checked. The result says which pages were not read.

Why is a link marked "check" and not "broken"?

Some addresses answer with status 401 or 403: that can be a login area, or the website blocks automatic checks. A missing answer from another website can be temporary. Open those links in your browser to be sure.

Is my text stored?

Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).

Can I use the result right away?

Results are AI-generated. Please read them before you publish or send them.
