One-dimensional cutting plan
Allocate requested lengths to supplied bars or rolls with explicit kerf, end trims, material groups, remnants and cost preferences, then review every allocation and remaining piece.

A useful cutting plan must account for every requested part, every cut and every leftover. This tool uses supplied demand and stock records to build a transparent one-dimensional allocation. The AI proposes source-bound handling categories and a priority order from demand notes. Deterministic code allocates the parts, checks material groups and independently verifies exact length conservation before presenting a draft.

Who it is for
Workshops, fabrication teams and operations staff preparing cuts for bars, profiles or roll lengths from a known stock list. Suitable for one-dimensional planning and review; not for sheet nesting, machine control or safety authorization.
Typical uses
- Combine new stock and explicit remnants without silently inventing available material.
- Apply one kerf per part and leading and trailing trim per used stock item.
- Compare bounded placement strategies and supplied material or cost preferences.
- Review unplaced instances, reusable remnants and total loss with exact identifiers.

Input

Result
Two 400 mm parts fit in one 1,000 mm bar with 4 mm of kerf and 10 mm of end trim, leaving 186 mm. Two 180 mm parts fit in the 400 mm remnant with 4 mm of kerf and 10 mm of end trim, leaving 26 mm. With a 100 mm reusable-remnant threshold, the 186 mm remainder is reusable and the 26 mm remainder is waste. The supplied total stock cost is EUR 14.50.

Questions and answers
Is the result an optimal cutting solution?
No. The solver is a bounded greedy heuristic. Preferences for existing remnants, opened stock, cost and remaining capacity can produce different feasible plans. No global material or cost optimum is claimed.
Can different units or two-dimensional sheets be mixed?
No. All demand and stock rows use one common unit. Material groups remain separate, and no unit conversion, sheet nesting or rotation is inferred.
What happens when stock is insufficient?
Every unplaced demand instance remains visible. No stock is purchased and no request is marked completed merely because a plan was generated. A human must check the draft and physical operating constraints.
Is my text stored?
Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).
