Green claims check

Do4U checks shop texts, ads and web pages for environmental claims that carry a greenwashing risk under the new EU rules: generic words such as “eco-friendly” or “sustainable”, claims such as “climate neutral” or “CO2 neutral”, statements about recycled material, promises for the future and names of labels and seals. Word lists in English, German and Polish find the passages and quote each one exactly. The AI then rates every passage in its context: the type of claim, the risk with the reason tied to the rule, the evidence you would need and a more specific, honest wording with placeholders where data is missing. Privacy

Processed on our own servers in the EU (Poland). Inputs and results are deleted after 7 days (Free) or 30 days (packages), or right after you see the result if you choose not to store them. Images are deleted right after processing.

In the API

Tool name: green_claims_check. Create a job with POST /api/v1/jobs and fetch the result with GET /api/v1/jobs/{id}. You find your API key in your account.

Questions and answers

Does Do4U tell me whether a claim is allowed?

No. It is a risk check, not legal advice. For every passage you get the risk (high, medium or low), the rule it relates to, the reason and the evidence you would need. Whether you may use a claim depends on that evidence, so check every passage and ask a lawyer if in doubt.

Which rules does the check use?

Directive (EU) 2024/825 amends the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC. Among other things, the list of practices that are always unfair now includes generic environmental claims without recognised excellent environmental performance, sustainability labels that are not based on a certification scheme or set up by public authorities, claims about the whole product when only one aspect is meant, and claims of a neutral, reduced or positive climate impact based on offsetting. Claims about future environmental performance need a detailed, independently verified plan. The Member States apply the new rules from 27 September 2026.

Can the AI invent facts in the suggested wording?

It is told not to, and the code checks it. Every quote of the AI must stand word for word in your text, otherwise the entry is dropped and counted. A wording with a figure that is not in your text is removed, and so is one that uses a generic word or “climate neutral” again without specifics. Missing data appears as a placeholder such as [share of recycled material]. Passages the AI skipped stay in the list and are marked.

Is my text stored?

Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).

Can I use the result right away?

Results are AI-generated. Please read them before you publish or send them.
