Roofing material from roof areas

Calculate roof tiles, battens and ridge from the roof faces of a job. The server uses the tiles per square metre and the batten gauge from the manufacturer and adds the waste.

A roof is ordered in tiles, metres of battens and ridge tiles. This tool multiplies each roof face by the tiles per square metre, divides the area by the batten gauge and adds the ridge and hip lengths. It adds the waste and rounds up. The values come from the manufacturer. Pitch, rafters, loads and fixings are not part of the calculation.

Questions and answers

Who does the calculation?

The server calculates all sums from the table. The AI only writes the text and cannot change the figures.

How are the batten metres calculated?

Area divided by the batten gauge in metres, plus the waste, rounded up to whole metres. Counter battens are not included.

Does the tool check the roof pitch?

No. Pitch, rafters, loads and fixings are not part of the calculation. The roofer checks whether tile and roof fit together.

Is my text stored?

Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).

Can I use the result right away?

Results are AI-generated. Please read them before you publish or send them.
