API documentation

With the Do4U API you use the same tools as on the website from your own software: summarise, compare, support replies, alt texts, rewrite and translate. Every request is processed on our own servers in Poland, EU.

OpenAPI 3.1 description (JSON) – Machine-readable description of this API for code generators and tools such as Postman or Insomnia. No key needed.

Authentication

Create a key under API keys in your account. Send it with every request in the header Authorization: Bearer <key> (or X-API-Key: <key>). Keep the key secret and never put it into a web page. You can revoke a key at any time.

How it works

Jobs run asynchronously. You create a job and get its id at once (HTTP 202). Then you fetch the job until its status is done or failed. Ask every 2 to 5 seconds; most jobs take a few seconds.

Request fields for POST /jobs

Repeat requests safely (Idempotency-Key)

Send the header Idempotency-Key with POST /jobs, for example a random UUID for each job (1 to 255 printable ASCII characters). If the connection breaks and you send the same request again with the same Idempotency-Key and the same API key within 24 hours, you get the same answer again: the same job, no second job and no second charge. The answer then has the header Idempotent-Replayed: true. Use a new key for every new job. If you send the same key with a different request, you get 422 idempotency_conflict. Errors are not stored: after an error you can send the request again with the same key.

Tools and options

Job status

queued and running: still working (position and wait_seconds help you to wait). done: result contains the fields of the tool. failed: nothing was charged (credits is 0); error.code names the reason: address_blocked (Do4U does not open this address, for example a private or internal one; send the text or HTML instead), input_too_large (shorten the input), image_unavailable or job_failed. expired: the result is no longer stored.

Webhookit

Lisää "callback_url" kutsuun POST /api/v1/jobs, niin Do4U lähettää allekirjoitetun POST-pyynnön (tapahtuma job.finished, jossa tila, krediitit ja tuloksen linkki - ei itse tulosta), heti kun työ on valmis. Vain julkiset osoitteet portissa 80 tai 443; yritämme uudelleen enintään 6 kertaa kasvavin tauoin.

Esimerkki: luo työ callback_url-osoitteella – ja pyyntö, jonka Do4U lähettää kyseiseen osoitteeseen, kun työ on valmis:

Tarkista otsake X-Do4U-Signature: t=<time>,v1=<hex>, missä v1 = HMAC-SHA256(secret, "<time>.<raw body>"). Hylkää vanhat aikaleimat (esim. yli 5 minuuttia vanhat). Salaisuutesi alkaa merkkijonolla whsec_ ja näkyy sivulla API-avaimet.

credits.low

Kun tilin krediittisaldo laskee kynnysarvon alle, Do4U lähettää tilin webhook-osoitteeseen yhden allekirjoitetun POST-pyynnön. Tapahtuma ei sisällä henkilötietoja, vain saldon, kynnysarvon ja ajan (UTC). Seuraava tulee vasta, kun krediittejä on lisätty uudelleen (osto, kuukausittaiset ilmaiset krediitit tai kuponki). Allekirjoitus ja salaisuus ovat samat kuin job.finished-tapahtumassa.

n8n

Valmis työnkulku: webhook vastaanottaa Do4U:n kutsun, tarkistaa allekirjoituksen, hakee tuloksen ja välittää sen seuraavalle vaiheellesi.

Lataa n8n-malli (JSON)

Malli, jota ei ole vielä testattu todellisessa n8n- tai Make-ympäristössä – testaa allekirjoituksen tarkistus ennen käyttöä.

n8n:ssä: Workflows → Import from file. Syötä sitten salaisuutesi solmuun "Check signature" ja API-avaimesi solmuun "Do4U: get result", aktivoi työnkulku ja käytä webhookin tuotanto-URL-osoitetta callback_url-arvona. Itse ylläpidetty n8n tarvitsee allekirjoituksen tarkistukseen ympäristömuuttujan NODE_FUNCTION_ALLOW_BUILTIN=crypto.

Make

1. Lisää moduuli Webhooks → Custom webhook käynnistimeksi ja ota sen lisäasetuksissa käyttöön "JSON pass-through" ja "Get request headers".
2. Käytä tämän webhookin osoitetta callback_url-arvona.
3. Tarkista allekirjoitus: vertaa otsikon X-Do4U-Signature arvoa v1 arvoon sha256(t + "." + raw body; hex; salaisuutesi).
4. Lisää HTTP → Make a request: GET osoitteeseen result_url otsikolla Authorization: Bearer <your API key>.
5. Käytä kenttää result seuraavissa moduuleissasi.

Malli, jota ei ole vielä testattu todellisessa n8n- tai Make-ympäristössä – testaa allekirjoituksen tarkistus ennen käyttöä.

Reseptit: ketjuta työkaluja

Resepti ajaa 2–4 työkalua peräkkäin yhtenä tehtävänä. Lähetä "recipe" kentän "tool" sijaan: joko valmiin reseptin nimi tai luettelo vaiheista. Teksti menee ensimmäiseen vaiheeseen; kunkin vaiheen tulos on seuraavan vaiheen teksti. GET /api/v1/recipes listaa valmiit reseptit, käytettävät työkalut ja kentän, jonka kukin työkalu välittää eteenpäin.

Saat yhden arvion kaikille vaiheille (credits_estimate). Tämä määrä varataan alussa. Kunkin vaiheen jälkeen todellinen käyttö kirjataan ja loppu pysyy varattuna loppuun asti, jolloin se vapautetaan. Epäonnistunut vaihe ei maksa mitään, loput vaiheet ohitetaan, ja jo valmistuneista vaiheista veloitetaan.

GET /api/v1/jobs/{id} näyttää jokaisen vaiheen tilan (pending, queued, running, done, failed, skipped), sen krediitit, ilmoituksen input_shortened, jos tekstiä piti lyhentää seuraavaa työkalua varten, sekä kunkin vaiheen tuloksen, kun resepti on päättynyt. Asetuksella no_store tulokset näytetään kerran. callback_url laukeaa kerran reseptin lopussa.

Errors

Errors always have the same form: {"error": {"code": "...", "message": "..."}}. With 429 and 503 the header Retry-After says how many seconds to wait.

Limits

• 60 requests per minute per key and 120 per account.
• Open jobs at the same time per account: Free 3, Starter 3, Standard 5, Pro 10, for the website and the API together.
• Input: Free 8 000 characters, paid packages 30 000. Lower limits per tool: compare 20 000, alt_text 1 000, translate 12 000 (compare: both texts together).
• API keys: Free 1, Starter 1, Standard 5, Pro 10.

Credits

A new job shows an estimate (credits_estimate); charged is the actual use (credits). Failed jobs cost nothing. Free credits are used first.

Data

Inputs and results are stored for 7 days (Free) or 30 days (paid packages), then deleted. Images are deleted right after processing. Results are AI-generated: please check them before you use them.

Vastaa sähköposteihin muuttamatta saapuneiden kansiotasi

Do4U ei ylläpidä sähköpostilaatikkoa eikä koskaan tallenna postilaatikkosi käyttötietoja. Kaksi tapaa saada vastausluonnoksia silti:

S1 – Malli n8n:lle tai Makelle

1. Käynnistin: uusi sähköposti postilaatikossasi (IMAP-käynnistin n8n:ssä tai Makessa – käyttötiedot pysyvät siellä)
2. POST /api/v1/jobs työkalulla support_reply, sähköpostin tekstillä ja no_store: true
3. Odota muutama sekunti ja hae GET /api/v1/jobs/{id}, kunnes tila on done
4. Luo luonnos postilaatikkoosi tekstillä kentästä result.reply (Gmail- tai Outlook-moduuli)

Rakenna Makessa sama skenaario moduuleista Email (watch emails), HTTP (make a request), Sleep sekä Gmail tai Outlook (create a draft).
