API documentation

With the Do4U API you use the same tools as on the website from your own software: summarise, compare, support replies, alt texts, rewrite and translate. Every request is processed on our own servers in Poland, EU.

OpenAPI 3.1 description (JSON) – Machine-readable description of this API for code generators and tools such as Postman or Insomnia. No key needed.

Authentication

Create a key under API keys in your account. Send it with every request in the header Authorization: Bearer <key> (or X-API-Key: <key>). Keep the key secret and never put it into a web page. You can revoke a key at any time.

How it works

Jobs run asynchronously. You create a job and get its id at once (HTTP 202). Then you fetch the job until its status is done or failed. Ask every 2 to 5 seconds; most jobs take a few seconds.

Request fields for POST /jobs

Repeat requests safely (Idempotency-Key)

Send the header Idempotency-Key with POST /jobs, for example a random UUID for each job (1 to 255 printable ASCII characters). If the connection breaks and you send the same request again with the same Idempotency-Key and the same API key within 24 hours, you get the same answer again: the same job, no second job and no second charge. The answer then has the header Idempotent-Replayed: true. Use a new key for every new job. If you send the same key with a different request, you get 422 idempotency_conflict. Errors are not stored: after an error you can send the request again with the same key.

Tools and options

Job status

queued and running: still working (position and wait_seconds help you to wait). done: result contains the fields of the tool. failed: nothing was charged (credits is 0); error.code names the reason: address_blocked (Do4U does not open this address, for example a private or internal one; send the text or HTML instead), input_too_large (shorten the input), image_unavailable or job_failed. expired: the result is no longer stored.

Webhook

Aggiungi "callback_url" a POST /api/v1/jobs, e Do4U invierà una POST firmata (evento job.finished con stato, crediti e link al risultato - non il risultato stesso) non appena il lavoro è terminato. Solo indirizzi pubblici sulla porta 80 o 443; riproveremo fino a 6 volte con pause crescenti.

Controlla l'header X-Do4U-Signature: t=<time>,v1=<hex>, dove v1 = HMAC-SHA256(secret, "<time>.<raw body>"). Rifiuta i timestamp vecchi (ad es. più vecchi di 5 minuti). Il tuo segreto inizia con whsec_ ed è visualizzato nella pagina delle chiavi API.

credits.low

Quando il saldo crediti di un account scende sotto la soglia, Do4U invia un POST firmato all'indirizzo webhook dell'account. L'evento non contiene dati personali, solo il saldo, la soglia e l'orario (UTC). Il successivo seguirà solo dopo che i crediti saranno stati aggiunti nuovamente (acquisto, crediti gratuiti mensili o voucher). La firma e il segreto sono gli stessi di job.finished.

n8n

Workflow pronto all'uso: un webhook riceve la chiamata da Do4U, controlla la firma, recupera il risultato e lo passa al tuo passaggio successivo.

Template non ancora testato in un'istanza reale di n8n o Make – prova il controllo della firma prima di usarlo.

In n8n: Workflow → Importa da file. Quindi inserisci il tuo segreto nel nodo "Check signature" e la tua chiave API in "Do4U: get result", attiva il workflow e usa l'URL di produzione del webhook come callback_url. n8n self-hosted richiede la variabile d'ambiente NODE_FUNCTION_ALLOW_BUILTIN=crypto per il controllo della firma.

Make

1. Aggiungi il modulo Webhooks → Custom webhook come trigger e attiva "JSON pass-through" e "Get request headers" nelle sue impostazioni avanzate.
2. Usa l'indirizzo di questo webhook come callback_url.
3. Controlla la firma: confronta v1 dell'header X-Do4U-Signature con sha256(t + "." + corpo grezzo; hex; il tuo segreto).
4. Aggiungi HTTP → Make a request: GET su result_url con l'header Authorization: Bearer <your API key>.
5. Usa il campo result nei moduli successivi.

Ricette: catena di strumenti

Una ricetta esegue da 2 a 4 strumenti uno dopo l'altro come un unico lavoro. Invia "recipe" invece di "tool": o il nome di una ricetta predefinita o un elenco di passaggi. Il testo va nel primo passaggio; il risultato di ogni passaggio è il testo per il passaggio successivo. GET /api/v1/recipes elenca le ricette predefinite, gli strumenti che puoi usare e il campo che ogni strumento trasmette.

Riceverai una stima per tutti i passaggi (credits_estimate). Tale importo viene riservato all'inizio. Dopo ogni passaggio viene registrato l'uso reale e il resto rimane riservato fino alla fine, quando viene rilasciato. Un passaggio fallito non costa nulla, i passaggi rimanenti vengono saltati e i passaggi già completati vengono addebitati.

GET /api/v1/jobs/{id} mostra ogni passaggio con il suo stato (pending, queued, running, done, failed, skipped), i suoi crediti, una nota input_shortened se il testo è stato accorciato per lo strumento successivo, e il risultato di ogni passaggio una volta terminata la ricetta. Con no_store i risultati vengono mostrati una sola volta. callback_url viene attivato una volta, alla fine della ricetta.

Errors

Errors always have the same form: {"error": {"code": "...", "message": "..."}}. With 429 and 503 the header Retry-After says how many seconds to wait.

Limits

• 60 requests per minute per key and 120 per account.
• Open jobs at the same time per account: Free 3, Starter 3, Standard 5, Pro 10, for the website and the API together.
• Input: Free 8 000 characters, paid packages 30 000. Lower limits per tool: compare 20 000, alt_text 1 000, translate 12 000 (compare: both texts together).
• API keys: Free 1, Starter 1, Standard 5, Pro 10.

Credits

A new job shows an estimate (credits_estimate); charged is the actual use (credits). Failed jobs cost nothing. Free credits are used first.

Data

Inputs and results are stored for 7 days (Free) or 30 days (paid packages), then deleted. Images are deleted right after processing. Results are AI-generated: please check them before you use them.

Rispondi alle email senza cambiare la tua casella di posta

Do4U non gestisce una casella di posta e non memorizza mai i dati di accesso alla tua mailbox. Ci sono comunque due modi per ottenere bozze di risposta:

S1 – Template per n8n o Make

1. Trigger: una nuova email nella tua casella (trigger IMAP in n8n o Make – i dati di accesso rimangono lì)
2. POST /api/v1/jobs con tool support_reply, il testo dell'email e no_store: true
3. Attendi qualche secondo e recupera GET /api/v1/jobs/{id} finché lo stato non è

In Make, costruisci lo stesso scenario utilizzando i moduli Email (watch emails), HTTP (make a request), Sleep e Gmail o Outlook (create a draft).

Estensioni dev e plugin shop

Estrai lo ZIP e leggi la guida inclusa. Carica l'estensione del browser localmente; controlla prima i plugin dello shop in uno shop di prova. È richiesta la tua chiave API Dev. Shopware attualmente fornisce una CLI.
