Withdrawal button check
Since 19 June 2026 the EU consumer rights directive asks online shops for a withdrawal function: a button or link labelled “withdraw from contract here” or a clear equivalent, always available, with an online form and a “confirm withdrawal” button. Do4U measures your shop page or its HTML: Is there such a button, how is it labelled compared with the statutory wording in English, German and Polish, where is it, is it hidden or behind a sign-in, and does the linked page have the form and the confirmation step? For subscriptions under German law it also checks the cancellation button of § 312k BGB. The code sets every status. Optionally the Do4U AI judges labels that differ, with a quote. Not legal advice.
Who it is for
For online shops, subscription services and agencies in the EU who want to check the new withdrawal button quickly, for example after a shop update, before a launch or for client shops.
Typical uses
- Check a shop for the withdrawal button and its label before and after a theme update
- Find a withdrawal link that is hidden, only in the customer account or behind a sign-in
- Check the cancellation button and its confirmation page of a German subscription service
- Check the withdrawal pages of several client shops of an agency

Questions and answers
Does Do4U tell me that my withdrawal button meets the rules?
No. The tool is not legal advice and never gives such a verdict. It measures buttons, links and forms in the HTML, compares labels with the statutory wording and shows what it found, what is missing and what you should check, with the rule for each point.
Which rules does the tool check, and from when do they apply?
Art. 11a of Directive 2011/83/EU, added by Directive (EU) 2023/2673, which EU countries apply from 19 June 2026. For Germany Do4U read § 356a BGB (withdrawal function) and § 312k BGB (cancellation button for contracts with a term). For Poland Do4U found no national rule yet, so the points follow the directive.
What does the AI do, and can I switch it off?
The code measures everything and sets every status. The Do4U AI only judges labels that differ from the statutory wording and adds a short reason with a quote. The quote must stand word for word in the label, or Do4U drops it. With “code only” the check runs without AI and is free up to a daily limit.
Is my text stored?
Only as long as needed: 7 days on Free, 30 days with a package – or not at all if you choose not to store it. Processing happens on our own servers in the EU (Poland).
